Newspaper Report about Jean-Yves

BODY OF MISSING BOY FOUND IN SLUM

THE body of a young boy found in a street in Chartres has been identified as that of Jean-Yves Quancard, only son and heir of M. Charles Quancard, the famed manufacturing magnate. How this boy came to be alone in the vicinity of Chartres, in the company of slumdwellers, is still being investigated. The Quancard household issued a statement a number of days ago, asking anyone to come forward who knew anything of Jean-Yves’ whereabouts, but to little avail.

Early reports conclude that the boy, aged only 12, fell to starvation and hypothermia, while there is still some speculation that he was preyed upon by the more desperate among the homeless.

Monsieur Quancard has been contacted for comment but, at the time of reporting, has not responded. Madame Rosalie Quancard, mother to the deceased, was also approached for comment. She remarked, “My son was too pure to have deserved such a fate. I take solace in that fact and that Heaven and the eternal embrace of The Lord await him now.”
