Progress Report — August 2019

Just a little update for you…

Little is right! August has been a busy old month and I have to confess, I haven’t done much writing. The main focus has been my new journalistic project – HQB Media. This is a rebrand of a project I was working on for a couple of years – Humans of Bournemouth. We’ve had our teething problems here and there (especially since it’s mainly video content now), but it’s slowly coming together, I’m happy to say. Click here to see me in action, if you want.

The Berylford Scandals: Sin & Secrecy

This is really the only writing project I have been working on outside of HQB. I had a shocking realisation a few days ago that I was less-than-halfway through revisions and the document was 120,000 words long. It is definitely going to eclipse its predecessor, The Berylford Scandals: Lust & Liberty. But I’m steadily getting through Sin & Secrecy, to a point where I think a Christmas release is still very plausible.

In the meantime, I have had some more great feedback from Lust & Liberty. Last week, I was visiting my friend Dean in London, who told me he had read and finished it on his holidays. He has now passed it onto his girlfriend, who is currently reading it. But he loved it, or so he said, to a point where he wouldn’t let me discuss Sin & Secrecy in any great detail, to avoid potential spoilers.

If you have any questions about my upcoming work or the already-published stuff, please leave a comment below or contact me on social media. I’m on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
